Olivia Wylie, Owner

Olivia Wylie is a professional landscaper who specializes in the restoration of neglected gardens. Born in Wisconsin and raised around gardens, she was trained to work with the High Plains Desert environment of Colorado. When the weather keeps her indoors, she enjoys researching and writing about the plants she loves and the ways they’ve shaped human thought.
Training And Experience:
Bachelors of Science in Horticulture with an Emphasis in Floriculture, Colorado State University 2011
Certified Pesticide Applicator Colorado
Colorado Master Gardener
Nine Years Experience In The Field

Claudia Nelson, Horticulturist

Bachelor of Science in Ecology, Behavior, & Evolution from UCSD, 2019

Claudia recently moved from Temecula, California and has been enjoying Colorado's beauty(and lower gas prices). Her wide range of experience includes researching honeybee behavior, medical assisting, substitute teaching, orchid arrangement, and horticulture/conservation at Balboa Park in San Diego. Outside of work, she enjoys concert-going, driving around, tennis, board games, painting, and watching baseball games. Claudia's won 3 APQ championships with her trivia team, "Sir Lawrence O'Trivier."

Martha Turner, Senior Consultant And Lead Horticulturist

Martha married and moved to Colorado in her twenties, from southern Indiana, and never looked back (when “natives” complain about humidity here, she just laughs…). Forty-plus years, two kids and four dogs later, she has transitioned from twenty years full-time work with South Suburban Parks’

Horticulture Department, and is now exploring a variety of new options. One of those is paying forward that 20 years of experience by working part-time with Leafing Out Professional Gardening, teaching a new cohort of landscape professionals.

She is an omnivorous and voracious reader, across a huge range of topics, both fiction and fact, a lot of it

in science, and with a recent focus on American social and cultural history. She has a strong belief that

she can find a connection between nearly every idea – all is related, somehow. And she has books in literally EVERY room of her house, including a tall bookshelf on the landing of the stairs. NO, they are NOT alphabetized!

It’s what comes of being a life-long-learner: bachelor’s degree in Biology (University of Southern Indiana), Master Gardener certificate in Arapahoe County (late 1990’s), Certificate in Sustainable

Business Practices CU Boulder 2014, now working on a certificate in Botanical Illustration at Denver

Botanic Gardens.
